FIND THE NEXT ASTRIX IN THE RIVERTON DRAFT

Riverton Stud, a farm which consistently produces high-class gallopers, will be hoping that history repeats itself at this year’s Cape Yearling Sale.

In 2018, the Robertson based farm sold subsequent G1 TAB The Premier’s Champions Challenge winner Astrix from the Cape Sale of that year.

A R60 000 buy, Astrix has currently earned more than R2 million in prize money.

Buyers have a chance to acquire their own G1 winner when Riverton Stud bred two smart fillies to the 2023 Cape Yearling Sale.

The farm will be offering daughters of the upcoming Erupt and Dynasty’s well bred son Horizon at the upcoming auction.
Duncan Barry, also breeder of such standouts as Captain Of All and Domino Man, says of the two fillies:

Lot 12: High quality Horizon filly with a great attitude, good walker, plenty of scope. She is a very nice filly!
Lot 173: A big strong quartered, powerful Erupt filly, beautifully balanced and a good walker.

Riverton’s two yearlings can be viewed from Block F at Kenilworth racecourse.
