Vercingetorix. William Longsword. Carry On Alice. Kommetdieding. One World. These top-class thoroughbreds are just a few of the outstanding performers bred by Klawervlei Stud over the years.
Based just outside Bonnievale, Klawervlei will be bringing a large and exciting consignment to the upcoming Cape Yearling Sale, with this draft including yearlings sired by the likes of Vercingetorix, William Longsword, and Twice Over to name but a few.
This draft includes the only yearling by outstanding sire Vercingetorix in the catalogue with the filly (Lot 32) out of a stakes placed winner of six, and granddam is an A.P. Indy half-sister to none other than G1 Kentucky Derby winner Monarchos. Safe to say, this is a filly with plenty of paddock value!
Resident sire Twice Over has also got just one lot on offer at this year’s Cape Yearling Sale, with this Klawervlei consigned filly (Lot 112), who shares her sire with impressive recent G1 World Sports Betting Cape Town Met winner Double Superlative among many others, who is a half-sister to this season’s classy three-year-old Just Be Lekker. The filly’s dam is a four time winning daughter of Judpot and hails from the immediate family of the Judpot sired champion Along Came Polly, as well as the likes of Rock Opera and promising young Australian sire Royal Meeting.
Fellow Klawervlei stallions Captain Of All and William Longsword have three and two lots respectively in this draft, with Captain Of All’s trio including a full-sister (Lot 67) to this season’s Listed City Of Cape Town Sophomore Sprint runner up Captain Arrow. Captain Of All’s paternal half-brother William Longsword, sire of impressive recent G1 World Pool Cape Flying Championship winner Dyce, is represented here by a filly (Lot 45) out of the Var sired G3 Man O’War Sprint winner Exquisite Touch and a filly (Lot 64) out of a three time winning own sister to G2 winner Paterfamilias.
This draft can be found in Blocks C and D at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.
