G1 PROSPECTS TO STAR FOR LAMMERSKRAAL STUD

One of the most striking aspects of Lammerskraal Stud’s National Yearling Sale draft is the number of yearlings with G1 connections featured. Not only does this string include yearlings sired by such high-profile and popular stallions as Danon Platina, Gimmethegreenlight, Lancaster Bomber, Master Of My Fate, One World, Rafeef and What A Winter, the consignment also includes lots hailing from very happening families.

Understandably, Lindi Garlicki is excited about the prospects of the draft, saying,” We have a stellar draft for this year’s sale which I am sure will be well received.”

Lindi pinpoints a few standouts below:

Lot 31: Rondebosch c Gimmethegreenlight – Redberry Lane
A colt which should be on everybody’s shortlist! By champion sire Gimmethegreenlight out of the G1 winning racemare Redberry Lane who is a Western Winter daughter of Champion broodmare Strawberry Lane. He’s the image of his sire and has the looks to be a top performer.

Lot 107: What Again: c What A Winter – Sweet Virginia
They don’t get much better than this! A What a Winter half-brother to multiple Champion Do It Again and recent Listed East Cape Oaks winner Virginia Sweet. Big and scopey he is an eye-catching colt who will command a lot of attention.

Lot 189: Bright Apple c Pomodoro – Bardot
He is the last foal from top broodmare Bardot who is now retired. He’s a big scopey colt and a three-parts brother to Gr1 winner Viva Maria and half-brother to the likes of Bichette, Pilou, Warrior’s Rest and Blizzard Belle.

Lot 316: Decree c Gimmethegreenlight – Imperious Star
A lovely colt with a top class pedigree being by Gimmethegreenlight out of G1 winner Imperious Star who has produced 100% winners to runners including Gr1 placed Double Appeal. This is the family of Champion Imperious Sue who won the Met and UAE Horse of the Year Victory Moon.
