Millstream Farm have bred a very smart performer in the form of Get Impressed. The latter made it three wins from his last five outings when he ran out a convincing winner of the recent Listed World Pool With Tabgold Darley at Hollywoodbets Greyville. A son of Vercingetorix and the Al Mufti mare So Impressed, Get Impressed was a R1 000 000 buy from the 2022 Cape Yearling Sale.

Millstream will be offering buyers the chance to acquire their own Get Impressed when they bring forward an 11 strong string (one lot offered as Agent for Gary Player) to the 2024 August Two Year Old Sale.
This consignment includes two-year-olds sired by the likes of Danon Platina, Fire Away, Futura, Gimmethegreenlight, The United States, and Get Impressed’s outstanding sire Vercingetorix.
One two-year-old bound to attract plenty of attention is the Vercingetorix three-parts sister (Lot 22) to G1 Gauteng Chris Gerber Summer Cup winner and R2.2 million plus earner Zillzaal. This filly is out of the beautifully bred Giant’s Causeway mare Zulaal, a daughter of US champion and multiple G1 winner Surfside.
Vercingetorix, whose progeny also include the first two home in the 2024 G1 Hollywoodbets Durban July, is also represented here by a colt (Lot 171) out of the New Approach sired G3 Pretty Polly Stakes runner up Intriguing Lady, while Jet Master’s stakes placed daughter Semra has a full-brother (Lot 281) to the very smart Greaterix on offer.
Lady Lago, a winning daughter of Encosta De Lago from the family of globetrotting stars Elvstroem, Haradasun and Highland Reel, has a Vercingetorix filly (Lot 185) on sale, and she is sure to find favour.
South Africa’s reigning champion Gimmethegreenlight is another star stallion represented in Millstream’s August Sale string. He is responsible for Chickasaw (Lot 175), a filly from the immediate family of champions Horse Chestnut and Monyela, to name but two.
