The Hemel ‘N Aarde Stud, breeders of, among others, classy filly Celestial Love, will be offering a high-class consignment at the 2022 Cape Yearling Sale.
Their string includes four yearlings from the first crop of their beautifully bred resident sire Horizon.
A G3 winning son of outstanding sire Dynasty, and out of a full-sister to another outstanding sire in Silvano, Horizon looks a very exciting young stallion in the making.
He is represented here by a filly (Lot 60) out of the stakes placed mare Size Does Count, a filly (Lot 63) from the same female line as G1 winning fillies Imperious Star, Imperious Sue and Real Princess, a half-brother (Lot 121) to KZN Guineas Trial runner up Not Liable, and a colt (Lot 143) from the immediate family of the Dynasty sired G2 Gerald Rosenberg Stakes winner Sabina’s Dynasty.
Other attractive lots on offer include the Potala Palace colt (Lot 155) from the family of French Derby winner and champion sire Caerleon, the William Longsword colt (Lot 164) out of G3 Cape Fillies Nursery heroine Hot Affair, and the William Longsword filly (Lot 171) whose granddam is a winning own sister to G3 Lebelo Sprint hero Cyber Case and half-sister to globetrotting champion Jay Peg.
Hemel ‘N Aarde will also be offering four Alado yearlings on behalf of the Alado Project. This quartet includes a half-sister (Lot 78) to five winners from the same family as Irish classic winner Flash Of Steel, a filly (Lot 139) out of a G3 placed daughter of Dynasty, and a filly (Lot 145) from the family of graded stakes winning fillies Fire Tread and Empress Crown
The farm will also offer, as agent, two yearlings by Trippi’s Selangor Cup winning son Gold Standard. The Gold Standard filly (Lot 136) out of Data Link is from the immediate family of current graded stakes winning filly One Night In Paris, while the colt (Lot 138) out of the four time winning Dvina is a half-brother to five winners from the family of champion My Swallow.
