Hemel ‘N Aarde Stud, breeders of, among others, top-class filly Celestial Love, will be offering a very imposing draft at the upcoming August Two Year Old Sale.
Not only does this consignment include close relatives of such standout performers as Do It Again, Guiness, and the late, great Pocket Power, Hemel ‘N Aarde will also be offering a half-sister (Lot 255) to G1 SA Derby winner Samurai Warrior.

The latter, a daughter of Time Thief, is out of the Casey Tibbs mare Bangor Bay, herself a winning half-sister to G1 Paddock Stakes winner Emerald Cove.

What A Winter, last season’s Leading Sire of 2YOs in South Africa and sire of the aforementioned Celestial Love, has six lots on offer. They include Inventrix (Lot 58), a filly whose dam is a winning half-sister to dual Horse Of The Year Variety Club, Stormz Power (Lot 177), a  filly out of a half-sister to the Met winning star siblings Pocket Power and River Jetez, and Mazatlan (Lot 316). The latter is a colt out of a stakes placed half-sister to the graded stakes winners Eventual Angel and Exit Here.

Fellow champion sprinter Captain Of All, sire of multiple G1 winner Linebacker, is represented here by a colt (Lot 8) whose dam is a half-sister to G1 winning two-year-old Geepee S, while Selangor Cup winner Gold Standard’s only two-year-old in this draft is the filly (Lot 12) out of a four time winning daughter of multiple champion sire Silvano.

Telio (Lot 82) is a Twice Over filly from the immediate family of the Twice Over sired champion, and dual July winner, Do It Again, while the hugely promising young sire The United States is represented here by a filly (Lot 180) from the same family as Equus Champion, and G1 Gold Cup winner, Jeppe’s Reef.

Other attractive lots in this draft include  the Time Thief colt (Lot 9), whose granddam finished second in the G1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship, the Jay Peg colt (Lot 185) out of a half-sister to G1 winning two-year-old Guiness, and the Canford Cliffs colt (Lot 199) whose stakes winning dam is a half-sister to Guineas winner Tellina.


Hemel ‘N Aarde Stud will also be offering, as agent, an Alado filly (Lot 115) whose dam is a half-sister to the stakes winning two-year-old Seattle Storm, with this filly’s other relatives including another pair of smart two-year-olds in the form of Kokkewiet and Lapswael respectively.
