HEVERSHAM OFFER A TEMPTING TRIO AT NATIONAL SALE

The tranquil Heversham Park Farm is located in the scenic unspoilt Daleside Valley, just south of Johannesbuburg, and is overlooked by the majestic Paardekop.

Heversham is home to a growing stallion band, with the farm’s resident sires including Jackson, MK’s Pride, Moofeed, Pomodoro, and Time Thief.

The Farm, as Heversham is affectionately known as, will be offering three well related yearlings at the 2025 National Yearling Sale.

Resident sire Jackson, whose progeny include such high-class fillies as Pretty Young Thing, Rockie Reef, Freed From Desire, and Eva Eileen, is responsible for a filly (Lot 171) packed with paddock value. A half-sister to six winners including G2 Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Nursery winner Little Ballerina as well as the dam of recent G3 4Racing National Currency Sprint winner Truth, this filly is out of Little Fastnet, a daughter of multiple champion sire Fastnet Rock and G1 winning Irish champion Damson.

Querari is enjoying another wonderful season in 2024-2025, with his flagbearers headed by G1 Wilgerbosdrift H F Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes winner Cosmic Speed. The son of Oasis Dream is represented in this draft by a colt (Lot 253) whose dam Royal Pleasure won three times including the G3 Strelitzia Stakes. The blue blooded Royal Pleasure, a daughter of Visionaire, hails from the same family as the Visionaire sired champion, and G1 winner, Good Traveller, among many others.

One can but wonder what the ill-fated New Predator might have achieved in a longer career at stud, and the son of New Approach is responsible for a filly (Lot 270) whose dam is a winning sister to G1 Mercury Sprint runner up Al Sakeet and half-sister to G1 Computaform Sprint winner Attenborough. Bred on the same New Predator/Var cross as G2 winner Pure Predator, this filly hails from the same female line as champion fillies Consensual, Just Sensual and Tatler.

Heversham’s three yearlings can be found in Block A at the TBA Complex in Germiston.
