Heversham Park Farm will be triply represented at this year’s National Yearling Sale, set to take place on April 15th and 16th in Germiston.
The Heversham draft is highlighted by a colt from the first crop of resident stallion, and G2 Dante Stakes winner, Wings Of Desire. The latter, a son of outstanding stallion Pivotal, is a full-brother to King George runner up Eagle Top and three-parts brother to the Pivotal sired classic winner Sariska.
Wings Of Desire’s eagerly awaited first crop includes a regally bred (Lot 182) half-brother to G1 Cape Derby third Herodotus, with his colt hailing from the same family as multiple Australian G1 winner Sea Siren and former G2Dingaans/G2 Gauteng Guineas winning sire Oracy.
Heversham will also be offering two well related yearlings by proven G1 stallions Elusive Fort and Oratorio.
The former, whose progeny include this season’s top-class three-year-olds Catch Twentytwo and Kommetdieding, is the sire of a half-brother (Lot 307) to the useful Self Assured, with this colt out of a half-sister to G3 winning two-year-old Wheredowego.
Danehill horse Oratorio, whose local representatives include dual G1 winning sprinter Van Halen, is represented in the draft by a blue blooded filly (Lot 337) whose dam is none other than G1 Woolavington 2000 heroine Zirconeum.
