The Nadeson Park Stud, breeders of champion Got The Greenlight and the likes of Tail Of The Comet, La Bella Mia, Captain Peg, and Time Fo Orchids, will be offering some very exciting prospects at this year’s August Two Year Old Sale. Among the stallions will two-year-olds on offer are Master Of My Fate, Querari, Twice Over and What A Winter.
A striking factor of this draft is the number of high-class families represented. Winning Galileo mare Emerald Gal, who hails from the family as Archipenko, Blame, Nureyev and Sadler’s Wells to name a few, has a What A Winter filly (Lot 113) by the name of Girl In Verdite on the sale. Safe to say, this is a filly with plenty of paddock appeal!
Another superbly bred mare with a two-year-old on offer is Maureen De Lago, a daughter of outstanding sire Encosta De Lago, who won twice and ran second in the Listed Summer Juvenile Stakes and third in the G3 Strelitzia Stakes. Already dam of three winners, including Listed East Cape Sprint Cup runner up The Winter Lake, Maureen De Lago, whose third dam is US champion Waya, is the dam of the Captain Of All filly Maunge (Lot 210).
Sapphire Sun (Lot 134), a filly by Jet Master’s hugely successful sire son Master Of My Fate, is out of Frosted Flakes, a half-sister to the Jet Master sired Equus Champion and G1 J&B Met winner Past Master, while Path To Fate (Lot 245) is another filly by Master Of My Fate, with this filly’s dam Path To Travel a stakes placed full-sister to both G2 Peninsula Handicap winner Polar Bound and to Listed Darley Arabian hero Bound To Travel.
Yet another well connected two-year-old on sale is Over Sensible (Lot 282), a daughter of four time G1 winner Twice Over and G3 Three Troikas Stakes winner Sensible Lover, with the latter herself a daughter of the Al Mufti sired Equus Champion Almah.
