HONG KONG SUCCESS FOR KZN SALE GRADUATE

Graduates of Bloodstock South Africa enjoyed another big weekend this past week, and this success was carried overseas when the BSA sold Royal Agility saluted in Hong Kong on Sunday.

A graduate of the KZN Yearling Sale, Royal Agility followed up a second place finish last time out when storming home to capture Sunday’s Education University Of Hong Kong Handicap (1400m) at Sha Tin under Karis Teetan.

Racing for the Rotary Club Of Sha Tin Syndicate, Royal Agility, who raced as Vontreo in South Africa, is trained by Y.S. Tsui.

The gelding, who was bred by Boland Stud, was knocked down to Green Street Bloodstock for R260 000 at the 2017 KZN Yearling Sale.

Royal Agility is out of the Captain Al mare Captain’s Lullaby -a five time winner who finished second in both the G3 Kenilworth Fillies Nursery and Listed Perfect Promise Sprint of her year.

Sunday’s winner is a son of the Clifton Stud based Mambo In Seattle, who has two lots on offer at this year’s KZN Yearling Sale:

Lot 80 -this filly is out of a winning half-sister to Storm Bird Stakes winner Midnight Serenade (whose sire, like Mambo In Seattle, was sired by Kingmambo)

Lot 141-this filly is out of a three time winning half-sister to three graded stakes winners including millionaire Prince Of Kahal
