Ndoro Stud look to have bred a very classy colt in the form of Rockpool. That three-year-old son of Futura made it three wins in a row recently when running out a convincing winner of the G3 Politician Stakes, and Rockpool looks a very special colt with a bright future ahead of him.
Buyers will be able to buy their very own Rockpool at the 2023 Cape Yearling Sale, with Ndoro Stud set to offer a pair of quality lots at that auction.
The outstanding Var, sire of such champions as Variety Club, Val De Ra, and Vardy, is represented here by a filly (Lot 28) bred on similar lines to Var’s G2 SA Nursery winning son William The Silent, with this filly’s twice winning dam a half-sister to G2 Betting World Derby winner Silvano’s Jet.
Samish Bay, a Visionaire half-sister to G1 SA Derby winner Hero’s Honour and the Trippi sired G1 Thekwini Stakes runner up Railtrip, is represented here by a colt by Trippi’s Selangor Cup winning son Gold Standard.
The latter has made a fine start to his stud career, with Gold Standard’s small first crop headed by such classy performers as Gold Poker Game, Hold My Hand and Golden Hostess.
The Ndoro Stud can be viewed from Block B at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth racecourse.
