LAMMERSKRAAL’S SUPER SIX SET TO IMPRESS AT CAPE SALE

Lammerskraal Stud is enjoying another good season this year, with the Ceres farm’s representatives headed by G3Tab4Racing Fillies Mile winner Emirate Gina.

The breeders of such champions as Celtic Grove, Good Traveller, Ice Cube and Yard-Arm, Lammerskraal will be bringing a small but smart string to this year’s Cape Yearling Sale with their draft made up of yearlings by Lancaster Bomber, One World, Querari, and William Longsword.

The farm’s stud manager Lindi Garlicki is strong on the draft she is bringing to the Cape Sale this year, saying, “I have a very nice draft for this sale.

Of the three fillies, my personal preference is Icy Lancaster by Lancaster Bomber. She is a big, scopey, attractive second foal out of a Western Winter mare from the fabulous Fenjal family. Her half brother Icy Blast is with Vaughan Marshall and won well recently. The other two fillies are both nice but different to each other. Both are by Met winner and first crop sire One World. One Path is a quality racy filly whilst Sahara Cat is a very powerful filly with a great back end.
The colts are all super and should prove popular with the buyers.

Mizzen Sword is a powerful William Longsword half brother to stakes winners Gimme Dat and Green Haze. His dam is an own sister to Yard Arm and I’m expecting him to be very popular especially with William Longsword’s recent successes on the track.

King’s Quest is a tall athletic good looking son of Querari. He is a half brother to the highly thought of but ill fated Mastagambit who had 3 wins and 3 places from only 7 runs. Another for the short list.

Field Marshal is a quality Lancaster Bomber colt out of the own sister to Gr1 performer Excelero. His dam has produced 100% winners and with Lancaster Bomber’s early success with his 2yo’s I’m sure he will be a hit with the buyers.”

This draft can be found in Block F at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth racecourse.
