A R220 000 National Yearling Sales graduate of 2020 consigned by Mauritzfontein, the Rafeef gelding out of Galileo mare Miss Galidora (IRE) wins the Gr3 Sea Cottage Stakes at Turffontein on Saturday over 1800m. Trained by Mike De Kock for owners Messrs M F de Kock, M Makepeace, J R van der Linden and Mrs N P Malherbe, Aragosta has won three of his five starts and is Gr2 placed.
It is the female line of Averof and Flaming Rock.
Aragosta is bred by Wilgerbosdrift & @mauritzfontein

Bred by Mrs A Devachander and Mr L M F Wernars and raced in partnership with Messrs J F and L M F Wernars, Mesdames A Devachander and T J Wernars, the gelding is trained by Peter Muscutt and ridden by Tristan Godden. Alistair and Jane have officially left the Cape af

Alistair and Jane have officially left the Cape after 2 full weeks of inspections. They are now on route up country where they will begin in PE, head through the interior to visit farms in the likes of Graaff Reneit, Colesburg and Kimberley, then travel towards Gauteng and finally to KZN where they will finish off the inspections.
