Millstream Farm enjoyed some tremendous results at the 2022 Cape Yearling Sale. Not only did Millstream sell the R1 000 000 joint sales topping Vercingetorix colt, they ended the auction as third Leading Vendor by Aggregate, and also sold a Danon Platina colt for R550 000.
The farm will again be bringing a very smart string to this year’s Cape Sale, which is due to take place at Kenilworth racecourse on February 26th.
Millstream will be offering seven yearlings at the Cape Yearling Sale this year, and will also be offering one lot on behalf of Gary Player and a Vercingetorix colt on behalf of Al Adiyaat (Pty) Ltd.
The latter (Lot 53) is a colt with a real stallion’s pedigree. Not only is a son of an outstanding sire in the form of Vercingetorix, but his G2 Gerald Rosenberg Stakes winning granddam is out of a half-sister to none other than champion Australian sire I Am Invincible. There should be plenty of interest in this colt!
Other attractive prospects on offer include the Querari colt (Lot 67) who hails from the same family as champions Whistling Dixie and Ice Cube among many others, the Buffalo Bill Cody filly (Lot 109) bred on similar lines to Dingaans hero Union Square, and the Futura filly (Lot 116) whose dam is a five time winning daughter of G2 winner Winterinthewoods.
The aforementioned draft can be viewed from Block D at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth racecourse.
