MOUTONSHOEK OFFER THREE AT NATIONAL SALE

The Piketberg based Moutonshoek, whose past National Sale graduates include this season’s outstanding three-year-old filly Captain’s Ransom, will be offering a trio of well bred yearlings at the upcoming National Yearling Sale.

Moutonshoek’s draft is made up of yearlings sired by exciting and well performed young stallions Erupt and The United States, and by five times South African champion sire Silvano.

The farm’s G1 winning resident sire The United States, whose very first runner was Listed Storm Bird Stakes winner Sheela, is the sire of Idabelle (Lot 10), a well bred filly whose dam is a half-sister to G2 Al Fahidi Fort winner, and former KwaZulu-Natal sire, Bankable.

Silvano is represented in this draft by Save The Queen (Lot 318), a three-parts sister to both the Silvano sired July winning champion Marinaresco and to Silvano’s R2.28 million plus earning son Bulsara.

Grand Prix de Paris/Canadian International victor Erupt has a single member of his first crop on offer in the form of Paris Pike (Lot 109), a colt, who hails from the same family as Erupt himself as well as such high-class racehorses and stallions Encosta De Lago, Flying Spur and Holy Roman Emperor, with this colt truly sporting a top-class international pedigree!

The 2021 National Sale will take place in Germiston on April 15th and 16th, and the catalogue can be viewed online at www.bsa.co.za
