Based just outside Hermanus, Nadeson Park Stud made their mark as breeders of multiple Equus Champion Got The Greenlight.

The latter, who is set to stand his first season at Camargue Stud later this year, was Equus Champion 2YO Colt in 2018-2019, Equus Champion 3YO Colt in 2019-2020 and Equus Champion Middle Distance Horse in 2019-2020.

Trained by Joe Soma, Got The Greenlight earned more than R3.4 millon during a career which saw him win all of G1 4Racing Premier’s Champions Challenge, G1 H F Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes, G1 SA Classic, G1 Daily News 2000 and G1 Premiers Champion Stakes.

He looks an extremely exciting addition to South Africa’s stallion band!

Other notable horses bred by Nadeson Park include G2 Post Merchants winner La Bella Mia, Speedster Stakes victor Stranger Danger, the promising Picture Perfect and Listed Lady’s Pendant winner Roll In The Hay.

Buyers will have their own chance to acquire a horse of the ilk of Got The Greenlight at this year’s KZN Yearling Sale where Nadeson Park Stud will be offering a classy string of yearlings.

Top sires represented in this draft include Trippi, What A Winter, and Got The Greenlight’s own champion sire Gimmethegreenlight. The latter has three yearlings in this draft namely Electra Green (Lot 11), a filly out of a four time winning daughter of champion sire O’Reilly, Emerald Green (Lot 130), a filly from the same female line as the likes of Nureyev and Sadler’s Wells, and Frosted Green (Lot 148) a daughter of G2 SA Fillies Nursery runner up Frosted Honey.
