This season’s top class sprinter Rio Querari is just one of numerous top-class racehorses bred by the venerable Normandy Stud over the years.
Other stars of the track bred by Normandy include such champions as Aquanaut, Mother Russia and Winter Solstice, as well as the likes of Bravura, Sachdev and Sergeant Hardy.
Normandy will be offering four quality lots at this year’s National Yearling Sale -with all four yearlings sired by G1 winning sires who have already sired G1 winners!
This draft includes a Twice Over half-sister (Lot 364) to G2 Khaya Stables Diadem Stakes hero Rio Querari, a sprinter who looks destined for bigger and better things, with the filly’s dam Arctic Breeze a full-sister to the graded stakes winners Nordic Breeze and Rushing Wind.
Multiple champion sire Silvano, whose progeny include the Normandy Stud bred Bravura, is represented here by a filly (Lot 122) out of a full-sister to four time G1 winner, and Equus champion, Mother Russia -herself the dam of champion Nother Russia. This filly is very closely related to both Bravura and Sachdev.
Another yearling to hail from the family of Bravura, Mother Russia and former Horse Of The Year Winter Solstice is the Pomodoro colt (Lot 302), whose Twice As Nice is a half-sister to the remarkable Mother Russia. With Pomodoro continuing to impress as a classic sire, this colt holds a lot of appeal!
Royal Jubilee, a Trippi half-sister to G3 Jacaranda Handicap winner Peggy Jay and daughter of champion Colonial Girl, has a filly (Lot 222) by hugely successful More Than Ready horse Gimmethegreenlight, and she looks a filly with considerable paddock value as well.
Come to the 2021 National Yearling Sale and buy the horse of your dreams!
