Normandy Stud, whose lengthy list of high-class graduates include champions Aquanaut, Mother Russia and Winter Solstice, will be offering a top class draft at this year’s Cape Yearling Sale.

Normandy, whose recent alumni include high-class sprinter Rio Querari and Derby runner up Sachdev, will be offering yearlings by all of Erupt, Gimmethegreenlight, Jackson, Master Of My Fate, Pomodoro, Quasillo, and Twice Over at this year’s auction.

Dual Champion Stakes winner Twice Over, whose progeny include the likes of Do It Again, Sand And Sea and Doublemint, has two fillies on offer. One is (Lot 5) out of a winning Fastnet Rock daughter of G2 Cherry Hinton Stakes winner Jewel In The Sand, and the other is a daughter of Irridescence Stakes runner up Nordic Wind -a full-sister to the Normandy bred graded stakes winners Nordic Breeze and Rushing Wind.

July winner Pomodoro, whose progeny include champion Return Flight and recent Guineas winner Russian Rock, is another sire doubly represented here. Pomodoro is responsible for a half-sister (Lot 34) to the stakes placed Fleeced with this filly hailing from an outstanding female line, and a  colt (Lot 135) whose granddam is a half-sister to Equus Champion, and four time G1 winner, Mother Russia.

Triple G1 winner Jackson has a colt (Lot 38) out of a half-sister to G2 Selangor Cup winner Hard Day’s Night on offer,  while Dubawi’s Grand Prix de Paris winning son Erupt’s sole representative here is a colt (Lot 59) out of a three-parts sister to East Cape Guineas winner Ice Wine.

Sea The Stars horse Quasillo is the sire of a filly (Lot 81) out of an own sister to Darley Arabian hero Rudi Rocks, while red hot sire Gimmethegreenlight, sire of boom 3yo Second Base among others, is represented in this draft by a colt (Lot 144) from the family of champions Horse Chestnut and Monyela.

Other appealing lots include the filly (Lot 148) by G1 winner The United States out of the stakes placed Banjo Buzz, and the Master Of My Fate (Lot 165) three-parts brother to ten time winner Rawedge.
