RIETHUISKRAAL REPRESENTED BY RED HOT SIRES AT NOVEMBER SALE

Riethuiskraal Stud, breeders of past G1 Summer Cup winners Flirtation and Flying Carpet as well as the outstanding dam of current sire sensation Rafeef, will be bringing an exciting string to the 2022 November Two Year Old Sale.

The Stillbaai based farm will be offering two-year-olds sired by some of the hottest stallions in South Africa, with Riethuiskraal’s consignment including lots by the likes of Flower Alley, The United States, What A Winter and the outstanding Vercingetorix.

The latter, surely South Africa’s Champion Sire in waiting, is represented here by Highveld Storm (Lot 106), a colt whose Trippi sired dam is a half-sister to the dam of dual G1 Majorca Stakes queen Clouds Unfold.
Clouds Unfold’s sensational sire What A Winter is also represented here, with the former sprint champion sire of Alpine Holiday (Lot 97), a filly from the immediate family of five time G1 winner, and dual Equus Champion, Carry On Alice, while the inform Flower Alley, whose current flag bearers include the likes of Feather Boa and Gilded Butterfly, is the sire of Snake Alley (Lot 5), a colt whose dam is a half-sister to Somerset 1200 winner Northern Frontier.

Galileo horse The United States has had a host of smart performers to his name, from two small crops, including recent feature race winners Khaya’s Hope and Sheela, and he has two juveniles on sale here. Blue Tango (Lot 11) is a colt from the same family as recent Triple Crown winner Malmoos and prominent sire Master Of My Fate, among many others, while Yukon (Lot 153) is a colt whose third dam is the Riethuiskraal bred G2 SA Oaks winner Lambarina.
