Duncan Barry’s Riverton Stud, breeders of such standout performers as Captain Of All, Domino Man, and last season’s G1 Mercury Sprint winner Pearl Of Asia, will be bringing five quality yearlings to the 2022 Cape Yearling Sale.
The Robertson based farm will be offering buyers lots sired by the likes of Captain Of All, Master Of My Fate, Pomodoro, Potala Palace and Royal Mo, and no discerning buyer can afford to ignore this draft.
The Riverton bred champion Captain Of All, whose progeny include recent Met third placegetter Linebacker among others, is represented here by a half-brother (Lot 26) to speedy, stakes placed, seven time winner Great Shaka.
Triple G1 winner, and former Equus Champion, Captain Of All’s half-sister Queen Of Thrones is also represented in this consignment -she has a colt (Lot 40) by proven G1 sire Potala Palace on offer.
Riverton Stud is no stranger to enjoying success with former G1 Vodacom Durban July Pomodoro, having bred the latter’s top-class son Cirillo, and Pomodoro is represented here by a half-sister (Lot 161) to the smart winners High Voltage and Vertigo Again.
The very much inform Master Of My Fate has a filly (Lot 43) out of a winning half-sister to former top-class two-year-old Kilcoy Castle on the sale, while well performed Uncle Mo horse Royal Mo’s sole representative in this draft is a colt (Lot 124) whose three time winning dam is a full-sister to Listed Syringa Handicap winner Secret Obsession.
The Cape Yearling Sale is set to take place at Kenilworth racecourse on Sunday February 27th, and the catalogue can be viewed online at www.bsa.co.za
