RUNNING BRAVE SIBLING TO STAR IN HENHAM STUD’S NATIONAL DRAFT

Rous Bros, trading as Henham Stud, will be offering five fantastic yearlings at the upcoming National Yearling Sale this April.

Their National string is made up of yearlings sired by all of Canford Cliffs, Elusive Fort, Global View and Vercingetorix, with Henham Stud also offering, as agent, a filly by champion sprinter and now top-class sire What A Winter.

Perhaps the standout lot in this draft is Feeling Groovy (Lot 145), a filly from the first South African crop of five time G1 winner, and proven sire, Canford Cliffs. This filly is a half-sister to four winners, notably top-class racemare Running Brave, who has earned over R1.765 million in stakes.

Elusive Fort has enjoyed an outstanding season thus far, with his flagbearers including star three-year-olds Catch Twentytwo and Kommetdieding, and the likes of Chitengo and Elusive Trader, and he is the sire of Street Art (Lot 184) -a colt out of a half-sister to G2 Senor Santa Handicap winner Polar Moon from the family of Legislate and Gabor.

Other attractive yearlings on offer in this draft  include Midnight Crystal (Lot 236), a Vercingetorix half-sister to the useful Shah Akbar, and Vantage Point (Lot 426). The latter is a filly by last season’s Leading First Season Sire Global View from the family of champions Foveros and Hinterland.

Henham Stud will also be offering, as agent, Winter Muse (Lot 186) -with this What A Winter filly out of a four time winning half-sister to the talented Robinson Crusoe.
