Blue Sky Thoroughbreds (Pty) Ltd will be offering some blue blooded thoroughbreds at the upcoming National Yearling Sale. Among the sires represented in Blue Sky’s draft are Danon Platina, Futura, Gimmethegreenlight, Legislate, Master Of My Fate, New Predator and One World.
South Africa’s reigning champion sire Gimmethegreenlight is represented here by both a half-sister (Lot 185) to Listed Lady’s Slipper Stakes winner Luna Wish, and by a filly (Lot 364) out of a three time winning full-sister to G1 winners Redberry Lane and Solo Traveller.
The beautifully bred G3 Final Fling Stakes/Listed Jockey Club Stakes winner Rain Gal, a Galileo half-sister to dual Australian G1 winner Srikandi, has a Danon Platina colt (Lot 296) and this colt is bred on a similar cross to the likes of Auguste Rodin, Saxon Warrior and Snowfall.
Sadly deceased, New Predator made a big impression with his first crop to race headed by G1 TAB SA Derby 1-2 finishers Purple Pitcher and Pure Predator. The son of New Approach has two colts on offer here -a colt (Lot 95) out of a four time winning daughter of G2 SA Oaks winner Cyber Cento, and a colt (Lot 120) whose granddam is G1 Empress Club Stakes winner Fading Light.
Other appealing sorts on offer include the One World colt (Lot 330) out of the smart racemare Silent Crusade, and the Master Of My Fate filly (Lot 42) whose dam is a winning half-sister to G1 Thekwini Stakes heroine Querari Falcon.
This draft can be viewed from Block C at the TBA Complex in Germiston.
