Soetendal Estate, one of the leading pre-training and backing yards in the Cape, will be offering three very classy lots at the upcoming Cape Yearling Sale.
The trio were sired by Pomodoro, One World and William Longsword respectively, and all three yearlings hail from top-class families.
Soetendal’s Julia Pilbeam had the following comments to make about her draft for this year’s Cape Sale:
Lot 14 Colt by Pomodoro-Radiant Splendour (Lope de Vega):
Scopey deep-girthed colt from an outstanding female line; he looks a real classic type and will mature into a superb horse.
Lot 91 Filly by One World-Blakes Mistress (Dynasty):
A daughter of the exciting young sire, One World, this is a filly is correct and full of class. She’s from a Dynasty mare,and he doing a superb job as a broodmare sire.
Lot 95 Colt by William Longsword-Bump ‘n Grind (Qui Danzig):
The definition of ‘racy’, this colt has a huge engine and looks an early sprinter, he’s strong and walks well.He’s the last produce of the prolific mare Bump ‘n Grind, and is half brother to Via Africa and 10 other winners.
