Sorrento Stud will be offering a pair of eye catching colts at the 2023 Cape Yearling Sale.
Both colts were sired by G1 winning stallions and both hail from high-class international female lines.
The sadly short-lived G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup winner Lancaster Bomber has made a big impact with his first two-year-olds this season headed by Listed City Of Cape Town Summer Juvenile Stakes winner Rascova, and he is represented here by Dive Bomber (Lot 112), a colt from one of the best families in the stud book.
A half-brother to the useful La Valliere, Dive Bomber is a colt with a stallion’s pedigree, as he hails from the same family as none other than legendary stallion Danehill.
Champion sprinter Captain Of All, whose current flagbearers include the likes of Linebacker, Kiss Me Captain and Trompie, is represented in this draft by Marine Merchant (Lot 135), another colt from a high-class family.
Out of the stakes placed In Liminie (herself a half-sister to the classy Romi’s Boy), Marine Merchant’s third dam Making Whoopeee is a full-sister to a pair of Australian G1 winners and half-sister to G1 winning two-year-old O’Marilyn.
Sorrento’s two lots can be viewed from Block F at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth racecourse.
