Syrilla Stud are in the proud position of offering yearlings by South Africa’s top two stallions at the upcoming Cape Yearling Sale.
The farm will be offering a pair of regally bred thoroughbreds at the Cape Sale, namely a colt by reigning champion sire Gimmethegreenlight, and a filly by champion sire elect Vercingetorix.
Multiple champion sire Gimmethegreenlight has sired a host of top horses including champions Bless My Stars, Gimme A Nother, Got The Greenlight, Green With Envy and Proceed, while Vercingetorix’s current flagbearers include G1 Cartier Paddock Stakes winner Double Grand Slam, G1 World Sports Betting Cape Town Met runner up Oriental Charm, and exciting three-year-olds Greaterix and Zeitz.

Syrilla’s Tiaan Ellis is, understandably, very pleased with the farm’s two yearlings. Tiaan had the following comments to make about Syrilla’s pair:
Lot 34: Gone Cold c Gimmethegreenlight -Frosted Steel.
The colt by Gimmethegreenlight is a very scopey athletic individual with good bone. A colt with a sound mind and good disposition. He is a fluent mover and sure to catch the eye.
Lot 107: Sitva Queen f Vercingetorix -Winter’s Forge.
The filly by Vercingetorix is a mature, tall and strong filly with a lot of depth. Correct and a super walker. Very athletic, scopey filly with a lot of quality and a very good disposition..
