VERCINGETORIX TO STAR FOR MAINE CHANCE FARMS

Former National Sale graduate Vercingetorix had an outstanding season in 2022-2023. Not only did the champion son of Silvano provide ten stakes winners, including unbeaten G1 Allan Robertson Championship winner Mrs Geriatrix, last season, his progeny also dominated sales rings across the country.

At the 2023 National Yearling Sale, Vercingetorix was responsible for no fewer than 11 yearlings to make R1 000 000 or more, with his yearlings fetching up to R2 400 000 at South Africa’s flagship sale.

Maine Chance Farms will be offering three blue blooded two-year-olds by their outstanding sire at the upcoming August Two Year Old Sale.

Gran Canadia (Lot 192) is a colt out of a full-sister to a stakes winner in Germany, with this colt hailing from the same female line as such star international performers as Fame And Glory and Legatissimo to name but two.

The regally bred Heat Wave (Lot 201), closely related to the Vercingetorix sired G1 performer Honokalani, is a three-parts sister to the very classy Happy Valentine, who won the G1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship before going on to win in France.

Last but not least, of the Vercingetorix offspring in this draft is Lucrative (Lot 235), a filly from the immediate family of German champion Lomitas –the grandsire of Vercingetorix himself.

This draft can be found in Blocks C and D at the TBA Complex in Germiston.
