Based at Klein Drakenstein, Volmoed Stud is a farm which offers a range of services, from boarding and spelling, to pre-training.
The farm is also becoming a force in the sales ring, and Volmoed Stud are set to offer a large and attractive draft at the upcoming Cape Yearling Sale.
Volmoed will be offering buyers the chance to buy the stock of such stallions as Captain Of All, One World, Rafeef and Soqrat, to name a few, at this year’s Cape Sale, and Inel Bekker had the following comments to make about the farm’s draft for the 2024 Cape Yearling Sale:
Lot: 18 – One World x Bianca colt
He is a really strong colt, looks like an early type. Walks well.
Lot: 35 – Clever Trevor
This son of Soqrat is really good looking specimen. Walks well and is a nicely balanced colt.
Lot: 44 – Reik Na Die Sterre
The daughter of Rafeef is a well grown, strong filly with a great hind quarter. She has a strong presence about her and a very good walk and is a half sister to Emblem Of Hope and Warrior Tiger. She is an exciting filly.
Lot 51 – One World x Free As A Bird
This daughter of One World is is good mover and has plenty of class about her, she is out of a family line that goes really well with the Captain Al lines, her half brothers Sullenberger and Warrior Captain has already proved this.
Lot 55 – Soetkoekie
She is a very well put together filly, well grown and looks to be a really nice type.
Lot: 74 – Erupt x Kiribati
She looks like a speedy filly, strong hindquarter and very correct.
Lot: 85 – Act Of War x Little Sparrow
A flashy, good looking daughter of Act Of War, well grown and walks really well. Lovely topped filly.
Lot: 88 – Captain Jon Snow
Here is a great example of a really good looking son of Captain Of All, he is strong with lots to like about him. His two half brothers Love In Winter and Teflon Man are both winners, we are very excited about this colt.
Lot 126: Masala Chai
She is a good looking first foal, with a lovely eye on her and forward going.
