The Volmoed Stud will be offering a six strong string at this year’s August Two Year Old Sale. Inel Bekker will be bringing up two-year-olds sired by a host of different sires including Elusive Fort, Fire Away, Horizon and Oratorio.

War Front horse Fire Away made an outstanding start with his first two-year-olds in 2022-2023, and he is represented here by a filly (Lot 120) whose dam is a half-sister to G2 Gold Circle Derby winner Winter Weather and she hails from the same family as such high-class fillies and mares as In The Fast Lane, Heaps Of Fun and Lambarina.

Champion Elusive Fort, whose progeny include the likes of Kommetdieding, Siren’s Call and Lauderdale, is sire of a well related filly (Lot 142) whose three time winning dam is a Silvano half-sister to stakes winning two-year-old Hope And Fortune.

Dress Code (Lot 155) is a filly bred on the same Oratorio/Silvano cross as G1 winning champion Canadian Summer, while Dynasty horse Horizon’s two lots on sale include a colt (Lot 93) whose granddam is a half-sister to former Horse Of The Year Roland’s Song.

Horizon is also represented here by a filly (Lot 190) whose dam won six and she hails from the immediate family of outstanding fillies Dancer’s Daughter and Rain In Holland, while Argentinian G1 winner Hat Puntano’s sole offering is Blanche (Lot 121), a filly whose granddam is a half-sister to two graded stakes winners notably Equus Champion Jeppe’s Reef.
