Wilgerbosdrift, one of South Africa’s premier thoroughbred nurseries, will be offering a very exciting draft at this month’s Cape Yearling Sale.
Not only does this string include yearlings sired by the likes of Buffalo Bill Cody, Danon Platina, Fire Away, Flower Alley, Malmoos, Master Of My Fate and Rafeef, but it also includes horses out of such high-class racemares as Europa Point, Lizzie Arden, Milk And Honey and Simply Royal.

The farm’s Shane Van Zyl is delighted with the string he is bringing to the Cape Sale, and mentioned the following horses as potential standouts:
FILLIES:
Lot 5:  Flower Alley x Bend Not Break – Pilates
Nicely topped filly that walks well. She is strongly made and has a good hindquarter.
Lot 29:  Malmoos x Europa Point – La Farola
A filly with lots of quality.  She is well balanced and is correct.
Lot 35:  Buffalo Bill Cody x Fudge – Peach Cobbler
Peach Cobbler has lots of substance and very attractive.  Sprinter type with a strong quarter.  Nice head on her and easy way of going.
Lot 90:  Rafeef x Simply Royal – Royal Connection
Scopey filly who is well grown and also heaps of quality.  Correct in front and moves well.

COLTS:
Lot 17: Fire Away x Chinchilla – Peace Sign
Good looking, racy colt with lots of presence. Big white face hard to miss, definitely typical Fire Away type with a strong hindquarter.
Lot 56: Buffalo Bill Cody x Milk and Honey – Frontiersman
Well balanced colt.  He is a good mover and very flashy.
Lot 68: Fire Away x Oh My Darling – Sutter’s Mill
Attractive individual, nicely topped with a good hindquarter. Looks an early sort.
Lot 98: Buffalo Bill Cody x Themis – Rules of Conduct
Strong and balanced.  He is a typical Buffalo Bill Cody type, attractive head and very correct.
