WINTERBACH STUD BRING CLASSY FILLIES TO NATIONAL SALE

One of the top boarding farms in the Western Cape, Winterbach Stud continues to unleash a good number of winners.

From the likes of graded stakes winners Alula’s Star, Meridius, and Val D’Orcia, to this season’s stakes placed Sakurajima, Winterbach Stud continues to come up with smart performers.

Hendrik Winterbach will be bringing two very well bred fillies to the National Yearling Sale.

Top sire Rafeef, whose three G1 Computaform Sprint winners include Winterbach’s resident sire Master Archie, is the sire of Royal Tiara (Lot 38), a filly from an exceptional female line. Royal Tiara is out of smart racemare Captain’s Princess, a four time winner who ran third in the G2 SA Fillies Nursery. A daughter of Captain Al, Captain’s Princess is a half-sister to G3 Yellowwood Handicap winner Sylvan On Fire, and this is the family of standout graded stakes winners Love Is In The Air, Silver Flyer, Rootin’ Tootin and Running Brave.

Met winning champion One World has made a sensational start to his stud career, with his record breaking first crop headed by G1 L’Ormarins King’s Plate/G1 Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas winner One Stripe. The son of Captain Al is represented here by Rocket To Venus (Lot 54), a filly bred on similar lines to the aforementioned Captain’s Princess. A half-sister to no fewer than seven winners, including dual Listed winner Gimme The Stars and Listed Oaks Trial runner up Our Shining Star, Rocket To Venus is out of Cosmic Jet, a winning Jet Master full-sister to both G1 Klawervlei Majorca Stakes heroine Love Is In The Air and G3 Pretty Polly Stakes victress Careful Landing. Cosmic Jet is also a three-parts sister to Jet Flyer, the stakes placed dam of G3 Yellowwood Handicap winner Sylvan On Fire.

These two fillies can be viewed from Block D at the TBA Complex in Germiston.
