These are just a few of the top stallions with offspring for sale in Winterbach Stud’s draft for this year’s August Two Year Old Sale.

Outstanding sire Vercingetorix, sire of the first two home in the 2024 G1 Hollywoodbets Durban July, has two colts on offer. Speedman (Lot 298) is an impeccably bred colt, whose dam Speedy Suzy (by Trippi) is a G3 Pretty Polly Stakes winniner half-sister to stakes winners Olympic Owen and Team Gold as well as the classy sprinter Ziyasha. Vercingetorix is also represented here by I Am Victus (Lot 174), a colt out of Jet Master’s triple G3 winning daughter Jet Supreme, with this colt bred on the same cross as the likes of African Warrior, Rascallion and Padre Pio.
Champion Hawwaam, like Vercingetorix a son of the all conquering Silvano, is the sire of a colt (Lot 77) whose dam is a half-sister to G2 Tibouchina Stakes winner Red Dor, while One World, South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire by some way in 2023-2024, is represented here by a half-brother (Lot 20) to six winners including G3 Jubilee Stakes winner Meridius.
Other lots bound to attract plenty of attention is Sylvan’s Princess (Lot 316) a filly by Rafeef out of the Silvano sired G3 Yellowwood Handicap winner Sylvan On Fire and the Rafeef half-sister (Lot 332) to G2 Post Merchants winnner Val D’Orcia.
