Winterbach Stud consistently produces high-class horses, who make their mark both on the racetrack and in the sales ring. Horses reared by Winterbach Stud to make their mark on the track include graded stakes winners Alula’s Star, Val D’Orcia and now resident sire Master Archie. The latter was a top-class performer who won seven of 16 starts and was victorious in both the G1 Computaform Sprint and G3 World Sports Betting Man O’War Sprint of 2022. Their ongoing success has been reflected in the sales ring, with Winterbach consigned yearlings fetching up to R750 000 at last year’s National Sale.

Winterbach will be offering three lots, as Agent, at this year’s National Yearling Sale. Hendrik Winterbach had the following comments to make about the horses he is bringing to this year’s National Sale.

Lot 2: c Erupt -Ultimate Shamrock
He is a very nice sort.  Looks early and Erupt can produce smart horses.
Lot 342: Captainfethersword c William Longsword -Skyblade
This is a smart colt with lots of scope and he walks well .
Lot 356: Darlingbudsofmay f Erik The Red -Springisintheair
She is a very correct filly with a positive walk and is a nice sort.
